Muse Wonder Subscription: Plans, Cost & Value
Last verified: October 28, 2026 · Sources: Meta announcements, app pricing pages
Quick answer
There are two Muse Wonder subscriptions and four price points: the Muse app at $20 or $100/month (Wonder, higher usage limits), and Muse Code at $50 or $200/month — the only way to access Muse Wonder Full, which is not sold via API. If you only need the base model occasionally, the API at $4/$20 per 1M tokens beats every subscription. If you build coding agents daily, Muse Code at $50/month is the entry point.
All four tiers side by side
| Plan | Price | Model | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Muse app | $20/month | Wonder | Everyday chat/agent use with higher limits; app itself is free to download |
| Muse app (top tier) | $100/month | Wonder | Heavy daily users who hit the $20 tier's limits |
| Muse Code | $50/month (Power Usage) | Wonder Full | Coding agents — the only Full access at entry price |
| Muse Code (Maximum Usage) | $200/month | Wonder Full | Full-time agent/coding workloads |
Full vs Max: the naming confusion, solved
Search interest shows many people are confused by the variants ("muse wonder full", "muse wonder max", "muse wonder full max"). Here is the actual structure:
- Muse Wonder — the base model. API: muse-wonder-1.0 at $4/$20 per 1M tokens. Reasoning effort is adjustable up to "max".
- Muse Wonder Full — the stronger, reasoning-max variant. Not available via API; exclusive to Muse Code subscriptions.
- "Max" is a reasoning-effort setting on the base model — raising Wonder's effort to max does NOT turn it into Full. They are different models.
- Intelligence Index gap: Wonder 52 vs Wonder Full 56 (which ties Claude Sonnet 5.5); coding-agent score with Muse Code: 68.
Subscription vs API: which costs less?
Do the math on your own volume before subscribing:
| Your usage | Cheapest path |
|---|---|
| Occasional questions, <1M tokens/month | API (~$4–$24/month equivalent) |
| Daily chat + agents via the app | Muse app $20/month |
| Coding agents on Wonder Full | Muse Code $50/month (no API alternative exists) |
| Millions of tokens/day in production | API with caching ($0.20/1M cached) — or Gemini 4 Argon at half the price |
What every plan includes
- Active Memory — context, preferences and decisions persist across sessions
- Active Focus — retries alternate paths when blocked instead of failing mid-task
- ~1M-token context with text, image, video, audio and PDF input
- Text output only — no image/video generation
Before you subscribe: restrictions
- 18+ only
- Not available in China (including Hong Kong and Macau) or Russia — circumventing geo-controls is prohibited, so a subscription there buys you nothing
- Know the model's weak spots first: factual knowledge (AA-Omniscience 30, well behind Opus 5.5's 46) and short-range precision tasks
Is any tier worth it?
Muse Code $50/month is the defensible one: it is the only access to Wonder Full, which scores 68 on the coding-agent index (tied with Sonnet 5.5 + Claude Code) and carries the Active Memory agent features. The $20 app tier competes directly with every frontier chat subscription — compare against Opus 5.5 and Gemini 4 on capability before committing. And if your usage is light, skip subscriptions entirely and pay per token via the API.
